“I cannot tell you how much it matters to us as a team and to the patient and their family to have such a genuinely authentic approach to their needs.”
I can give my strongest recommendation for Ron Armstrong and Recovery Support Solutions for your patients and family members.”
-Harry L. Haroutunian. MD, Physician Director, Betty Ford Center

-Denise Klein, CEO and Executive Director, Milestones Ranch Malibu
“As the former Chairman of a major airline’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program, I experienced a built-in conflict between the support of Pilot recovery and the responsibility to the “greater public good” with regard to aviation safety.
Our program was built on “willingness” and therefore, found not to be effective in cases with disruptive and/or deceitful behavior. Believing in the concept of recovery as part of our “corporate culture”, we searched for a third party administrator that could function as a true neutral to increase our surety and comfort with our HR decisions.
We found the staff at Recovery Support Solutions, Inc. (RSS) to be completely trustworthy in giving us a complete written assessment with regards to our pilots’ quality of recovery.
Even though we have an in-house drug testing program………….. we were still having undisclosed relapses …………… Therefore, we concluded that while testing is a helpful tool it cannot be relied upon to establish absolute sobriety………
RSS gave us an option (one we grew to rely upon for our most difficult cases) rather than discard expensive and highly trained employees. From a “Human Perspective”, we found RSS to be rigorous but fair, and would highly recommend their services to any forward thinking company that experiences drug and alcohol related human resource issues.”

“RSS has made an unbelievable impact on my recovery. I have been in Alanon for 24 years and for the last 5 have been dealing with my children who have been affected by alcoholism and drug addiction. I enrolled in RSS after my daughter completed 90 days of treatment at the age of 17. This was one year ago this past December. When I began working with RSS my objective was to help my alcoholic daughter on her path of recovery. With the help of my life coach it became about my recovery. When I began working on me and my character defects a change happened in me and it was contagious. I got better and in time my family got better. Before RSS, I had lost myself. I couldn’t even tell you what my needs were; I didn’t know my own likes or dislikes; I had no self care. Today I live in the moment; I have joy whether my qualifiers are using or not; I have a life that I look forward to living and I owe much gratitude to RSS. Through this program I learned that my recovery depended on me to take action, to have self awareness, to keep focus on me and to live one day at a time.”
“After 3 treatment centers, group and individual counseling and years of trying AA, only since enlisting the help of RSS have I maintained almost 2 years of solid sobriety. The professional support, guidance, consistency, accountability and proven structure were invaluable to building a solid foundation for my recovery from addiction/alcoholism and my sober life.”
“I’ve been using the DRL for about five months now, and I believe it has helped me tremendously. It has kept me accountable, taught me discipline, and given me insight that I otherwise wouldn’t be getting. Having all of my support members connected, and on the same page has been extremely important for me.”
“The transparency of the collaborative care method keeps me motivated, even when I don’t particularly want to be doing the work, because I know my support will see my progress reports.”
“The RSS technology and support service was (and is) an invaluable party of my early recovery. To this day, 6++ years later, I continue to use all the tools I incorporated into my daily routine while I was enrolled in RSS.”
Supported Family Members
“It gave me a sense of inner peace having someone else do for him what I had done for years (try to establish accountability)…..
“To me it’s very affordable, especially when you compare it to other rehabilitative services. As I’ve shared with you I felt all alone in dealing with the monster of addiction.”
“When you do something over and over for a period of a year or longer it becomes a part of you not something that you have to consciously do.”
“The daily involvement that is required by the participants to submit journal entries both morning and night, attend meetings daily and submit to random drug testing, provides very consistent support that was previously lacking when my son attempted to live on his own the first time. He wanted to stay sober, did attend meetings and had a sponsor, but as probably often happens, without measurable accountability things began to slide.”
“We live in a different state from our son, and being far away from him has been scary, to say the least. The DRL program has helped us have more peace of mind since we know that there are people checking on his progress and working together to help him on almost a daily basis.”
“one of the biggest benefits to us, as his parents, is knowing the other support group members can look at the reports and that they will talk to him about missed meetings, journal entries or drug tests. In the past it has been very difficult for us, especially me, to set and keep appropriate boundaries surrounding his recovery.”
“My recommendation to anyone considering the services of Ron Armstrong could not be any stronger. From our earliest discussions Ron instilled a sense of hopefulness in me. He knew exactly what to say to keep me calm. He asked the right questions, kept me focused on what was important, reassured me that all was going to be OK, but most importantly he kept me breathing. He gently and compassionately walks one through the necessary steps and is genuine in his offer of being there for you. He truly is matched up perfectly to his chosen profession.
Our family has begun our process of healing and we all recognize that without Ron’s guided hand we wouldn’t be where we are today. We are indebted to him and thank him wholeheartedly.”
“Dear Ron, Thanks for talking to my family and getting me into the clinic. It has only been a few days but you were right. There is nothing to fear except perceived fear, and there is no reason to worry. What happens, happens. I’ll make it. Once I get off detox I will have to spend some time learning how to handle stress, frustration, but that comes later. I’m still not sure about flying, but you did make me more comfortable with it. I hope to hear from you sometime. I hope I wasn’t to much trouble. Thanks again. I’ll let you know how things go.”
“Dear Ron, Thank you for all of your help! I actually feel that you may be the person who has helped our son begin his process of transformation.”
-New York, NY
“Dear Ron, We only became acquainted today and already I am in your debt. Thank you so much for helping our family.”
“A letter of recommendation. Ron Armstrong came to my family after being referred to my wife by the Betty Ford Center. My sister had been strung out on prescription drugs for the last 20+ years. Heavily the last 15 years. All we had to do was get the immediate family together in one place and Ron took control. What we needed to say to her. How to take her excuses away of why she couldn’t go to rehab. We would not have been sure of the what, who and where without Ron Armstrong. Ron was like an angel guiding us on our journey. It’s now 7 weeks later and it’s now up to my sister. My sister who thanked us for saving her life. I know we, my wife and I have given her the best tools possible (thanks to Ron) and ourselves too.
